Today we spent the afternoon with Bahá'í and non-Bahá'ía friends to celebrate the first day of a twelve-day long Ridván Festival. We spoke about this important period in the Bahá'í Faith, when Bahá'u'lláh announced for the first time that he was the Promised One of all religions. Worth a festival!

Summerplans
The summer is coming close fast and we get more and more excited about our coming pilgrimage to the Holy Land. 14 Years ago my husband and I proposed to each other right there. Now we come back as a family of 4, while the Bahá'í Holy places have developed immensely during those years. Some details still have to be fixed: passports for the children, a solution for our cat and a hotel for one night in Tel-Aviv. Right after we will have come back, our daughter will get on another plane to Prague to attend the second year of the Transformation for Peace summercourse in Hluboka, Czechia.Golden Tile

The roof of the Shrine of the Báb (Haifa, Israel) is covered with golden tiles, fabricated in the Netherlands. Recently such a tile is put on display in the Dutch Tile Museum (Nederlands Dakpannen Museum). Klick here for a few-minute slideshow.
